Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck announced their divorce in June, and shortly after, Ben Affleck found himself in an alleged nanny affair scandal. According to a new report, Jennifer has decided to forgive Ben over the nanny affair.
“Jen Garner has chosen to believe her husband did not cheat on her,” a source told Star magazine, according to Hollywood Gossip.
“That meant a lot to Ben,” someone told the magazine. “And although Ben still swears nothing ever happened with Christine, Affleck accepts his part in allowing the rumors to start. That is why Jennifer decided to forgive Ben and give their marriage another chance,” the source added.
According to the source, Jennifer Garner took a major step by confessing Jen was too hard on Ben during the final months of their marriage, Hollywood Gossip reported, citing the magazine.
“She would scold him like a child whenever Ben had a beer, or make Ben feel bad for having a night out with the boys. It made Affleck feel like he was always walking on eggshells around Jen and he started to resent her for not letting him do what he wanted. Ben told her that in therapy,” the insider said.
